How to set up an automatic WiFi Protection with CyberGhost VPN

The CyberGhost series of tutorials is back with another episode today! Click on the “Play” button below and find out how to easily set up an automatic WiFi Protection with CyberGhost VPN for Windows:

Why do you need to protect your WiFi automatically?

One of the easiest ways to hack into someone’s computer is through a public, unprotected WiFi. If you travel a lot or must work on the go quite often, you are probably more exposed to such attacks.

When CyberGhost is active and you access a new WiFi, a message box will appear in the lower right corner of your screen. Here, you can decide whether you want this WiFi to be protected only once, always or never. The app will remember your settings and apply them whenever you connect to that same WiFi.

Alternatively, you can open the app and click on “Protect my WiFi connection”. You will be able to set the default action for your current WiFi, but will also have access to some cool extra features. For instance, “data compression” may come in handy when you’re using your own data and want to reduce costs.

For the full list of WiFi hotspots accessed through CyberGhost, go to settings / WiFi. Here you can change the default behavior for any of the hotspots you’ve previously used.

If you don’t want to stress about technicalities, don’t worry. The most important features are already preset and you can start WiFi protection through the simple push of a button.
